gzuslivz (pronounced 'Jesus Lives') is a Christian band that used to lead music for children's worship most Sundays at Legacy Christian Church starting back in January of 2004 (back when the church was called First Christian Church). The band is lead by Kirk Hopkins and has included 23 musicians through the years. The band has released 5 albums and will soon release their 6th album! Come and enjoy a concert with many of the gzuslivz alumni on January 6, 2024 from 7pm-8:30pm in the old sanctuary (donations accepted for Reach Out Pregnancy Center).
We are a Christian band called gzuslivz (sound it out, it sounds like 'Jesus Lives', get it?) that used to lead music for children's worship most Sundays at Legacy Christian Church in Harrison Ohio. We lead children's worship on Sunday mornings from 2004 until crazy COVID-19 hit hard in March of 2020. We have 5 albums and are still working on our 6th album even though we don't lead music for children's worship any longer. We may continue to record albums under the name gzuslivz and we plan continue to have this website.
The name GZUSLIVZ was printed on our bass drum by Jim Jackson, a drummer from the church (before our time), and became the name of our group. Members of the group have ranged from 9th graders up to a couple grandpa's. Over the years, several high-school members have gone on to lead worship in college and beyond. Some of our music delves into genres such as blues, pop, and heavy metal, but most of our music is rock.

Our 6th album, titled 'Life's Changes', is set to be released on February 14, 2024.
