This album was available for download or streaming from August 10, 2012 until May of 2023. A company for one of the artists said that it was listed incorrectly and CDBaby (our electronic distributor) removed it from distribution. This is unfortunate, especially considering licensing was purchased for each "cover song" and was approved and listed for more than 10 years. CDBaby is requiring us to re-purchase distribution to change the artist from the original artists (which is how the songs were listed for over 10 years), to listing "gzuslivz" as the artist. Listing "gzuslivz" as the artist makes sense, but paying again for distribution doesn't. We may offer a remastered version instead, since there's newer technology that could be used to enhance the album. We'll finish our latest album first though, so if you want our first album and don't have it yet, you'll have to wait. Sorry.
About the Album
Okeana is pronounced, O-key-anna; which of course is the place where the songs were recorded. This collection of songs is a sample of songs from a typical Sunday. It's pretty cool to be able to worship with children while leading with current 'radio-play' songs as well as a variety of other genres. We hope you enjoy this album and if you're in the Harrison Ohio area, come join us if you're a kid or you're a kid at heart.

Amazing Grace
E A2 E Amazing grace! How sweet the sound E B2 B7 That saved a wretch like me! E A2 E I once was lost but now I'm found; C#m B2 A2 E Was blind, but now I see. 'Twas grace that taught my heart to fear And grace my fears relieved. How precious did that grace appear The hour I first believed! Through many dangers toils and snares I have already come. 'Tis grace hath brought me safe thus far And grace will lead me home. When we've been there ten thousand years, Bright shining as the sun, We've no less days to sing God's praise Than when we first begun.

Song Notes: This song is dedicated to Mr. Jones. When I (Kirk) was a kid growing up, our church would have 'hymn sings' where the congregation would pick their favorite hymns and we would sing it (kudos to the pianist and organist, playing a song on the spot is no small order). Before the pastor would get the words 'hymn sing' out of his mouth, Mr. Jones would have his hand up, always with the same request, 'I Love Thee'. Ug, again? I could hardly stand it. I grew up, and Mr. Jones passed away. Then one day I actually read the words to the song, you know, not just reading to sing it, but looking at the meaning. Check out the first verse:
I love Thee, my God.
I love Thee, I love Thee,
and that Thou dost know;
But how much I love Thee
my actions will show.
Wow, that was Mr. Jones! I know he wanted it to be everyone. No wonder he loved the song. I can't even think of the song now without remembering the saint who went on before me, Mr. Jones. As I mentioned before, we did this song with piano and/or organ growing up; hopefully gzuslivz did the song justice in the style of an African spiritual. I look forward to singing this song with you again someday Mr. Jones.
